Pet Sitting NZ is a dedicated platform for Kiwi pet sitters and pet parents. Providing NZ's Pet Care Commitment Code of Conduct to all members along with industry resources for professional development, we are raising the standard in pet care nationally whilst nuturing NZ's #1 Pet care community!
Our focus is on uplifting the entire pet care community in New Zealand by connecting passionate pet carers with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to grow professionally, including the chance to be vetted, featured on NZ's dedicated pet sitter platform, and advertised to a wider audience.
Aligned with our core values, we collaborate with qualified pet professionals, businesses, industry bodies, and rescue organisations to promote the well-being of animals and support professional pet care.

We also understand how important pets are to their owners, and have created our Code of Conduct to ensure furry and feathered family members are in safe hands.
Our history
At Pet Sitting NZ, we saw a gap in the market for a dedicated platform that truly supports professional pet sitters. There was no place that offered more than just a profile – a platform that verifies, advertises, provides resources, and fosters a supportive community for pet sitters to connect, learn, and grow.
That's why we created Pet Sitting NZ – a platform designed for dedicated, paid professionals who are committed to providing exceptional pet care.Our platform goes beyond just offering a profile. We focus on verifying, educating, certifying, and marketing our members to help them thrive. We provide valuable resources, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive community of like-minded pet carers.
We started our Facebook community group in 2016, and with the support and feedback from our users, members, and the wider pet industry, we officially launched our platform in December 2024. We now have over 19,000 users in our community, and we are building an association for professional pet sitters that will continue to improve and grow, empowering and supporting the pet care community in New Zealand.
Our team
Brittany Anderson
I am happiest when I'm surrounded by animals, with some of my best memories being from my childhood on our farm. I have been a pet sitter, have a rescue Mastiff X called Sir Nicholas, and am active with animal rescues.
Trish Anderson
I've always adored animals, and currently have three rescue cats. Sharing life with a pet is non-negotiable in our family... the more the merrier actually! It's great to see so many animal lovers in the PSNZ community.
